The Avenue D Champs Elysees.- The street of diamonds and rubies..

When the French won the football world cup title in 1998,I was a student of standard 10. I remember watching the award ceremony with my Dad, back home in Kerala. After the award ceremony, the winning team was paraded down the Champs Elysees, with the World cup. I remember listening to my Dad in awe as he explained to me about Champs Elysees , never in my life thinking that I would after 10 years, walk down the very street... Yet another of those memorable moments..

Xmas @ Disney-Paris

The Christmas of 2008 was one of the best I ever had, coz i got to spend the whole day in Disney Land. I remember enjoying the whole day with the frenzy of a kid, dancing to the music , and hopping all over the place :). This pic shows the castle all lit up for Christmas eve parade.

Mt Jungfrau

The first view of Mt Jungfrau, the highest point in Europe.This was the first time ever thatI saw snow. The journey till here was breathtaking , but nothing had prepared me for the feeling of wonder and awe, when we were out on the viewing gallery, and the mist started clearing up slowly to reveal Mt Jungfrau bathed in golden sunlight.

Rhine falls

The Rhine falls -Swiss. A true feast for the eyes.We spend a whole afternoon roaming here.The perfect starting point to a perfectly wonderful trip, and memories worth a life time.

Taken on our way to Engelberg and Mt Titlis. A journey , true bollywood style. Only the song and dance sequences were missing :)

Accidental discovery

We stumbled upon this wonderful lake in Interlaken, quite accidentaly. We were at the station, and the next train was 15 minutes late. We decided to explore the station premises a bit, and lo..there it was, before our eyes, the most picture perfect location. It was so surreal.It was like seeing a life sized painting. The lake was teeming with ducks.We had just the correct time for a quick photo session and few minutes to feed the ducks, before the train arrived. This place remains in my mind, as the typical example of accidental discovery's of natures bounty in the most unexpected of places.

Cows in the Alps

The picture perfect view of a typical Swiss meadow. This was clicked from the train on our way to Jungfrau.For most part of the journey, it was very misty outside, but suddenly the mist lifted to reveal this beautiful view. I wish I could also have recorded the sounds of the cowbells.

Tranquility

One of the most perfect summer evenings, I've ever had.On the shores of lake Lausanne , Swiss. To this day, I remember the ultimate sense of peace I felt, the warm breeze that was blowing, the laughter of the kids playing near the shore...One of those days which made me feel life is indeed worth living.
